Phyllis Oborn MBE

Phyllis Oborn MBE is a Co-Opted member of the Governing Body and is Chair of the Governing Body. She has been closely associated with the College since 1972 and therefore her knowledge of the College, its development and current range of activities is extensive. She has extensive experience of governance and the local community. Phyllis Oborn was formally a director in the private sector and councillor within the London Borough of Enfield during which time she chaired several major committees including further education and also served as Mayor for the Borough. She is also Chair of Governors of a local secondary school and is involved with the Enfield Charitable Trusts. Her MBE was awarded for services to education in Enfield.
