INTRODUCTION TO HEAVY HORSES (half day) £55
Monday December 17th - half day
Tuesday 18th December - half day
• Come and meet our gentle giants Duke, Wallace and Finlay
• Learn about the Clydesdale and Shire breeds
• Learn about the harness
• Have a go at grooming and harnessing a horse
• Dray ride around the grounds
WORKING WITH HEAVY HORSES (full day) £95 including lunch
Monday 18th February - Full day
• Meet the horses Duke, Wallace and Finlay
• Learn about the harness
• Have a go at grooming and harnessing a horse
• Learn to long reign
• Have a go at working in the field with horses and harrows
Must be physically fit
PREPARATION OF A HEAVY HORSE FOR SHOWING (half day) £55
Monday 7th April - half day
• Meet the horses Duke, Wallace and Finlay
• Have a go at grooming, washing out legs and preparing feathers for a show
• Learn how to plait and braid a heavy horse
• Learn how to prepare harness for a show
Need steel toecap boots for all courses. Limited spaces
