This
course provides candidates with the basic skills and techniques
required for the Florist Industry, with a sound background knowledge
of Floristry and Retailing.
The
Course
A day
release Floristry course, to be held on Wednesdays leading to a
recognised City & Guilds Level 2 qualification attained in the
second year.

Attainment
of this award is through set assignments and written tests. Candidates
are required to keep a logbook of designs they have constructed
and of retail activities. Candidates will be required to do work
experience and keep a logbook of their activities.
Course
Requirements
Flowers, foliage and sundries for this course
are to be supplied by the candidate. Candidates are also required
to provide Floristry tools and wear suitable clothing. Items required
for the course may be purchased through the College. You will need
to take photographs of your work, therefore the cost of film and
developing must be considered.
Entry
Requirements
You are welcome to visit the College for a personal
interview with a course tutor to identify a study programme which
will help towards your intended career. All candidates are assessed
on an individual basis, there are no formal entry requirements however
you are required to have a genuine interest in becoming a Florist.
Successful completion of the course will require a good command
of both written and spoken English.
Facilities
Classroom and Floristry Training Shop are in the
grounds of Upminster Court.

Gunnersbury Park, Popes Lane, Acton, West London and at Capel
Manor's main site in Bullsmoor Lane, Enfield
