Our Learning
Support School offers key skills, basic skills, business studies,
advice, guidance, counselling and support to full-time and part-time
students at all levels.
Although we don’t offer an ESOL programme, we do assist students
for whom English is a second language through language support on
their course.
All apprentices and students who are 16-18 years old will study
Key Skills at the level they need. Students over 19 are also encouraged
to refresh and accredit their key skills alongside vocational study.
The HEAVENAcademy (see below for more details) is based in the School
of Learning Support.
We also run customized programmes in partnership with local schools
and link with Enfield’s Education Business Partnership in contributing
to the successful STAR (Skills, Training and Re-motivation) project
for 14 and 15 year olds.

HEAVEN
Horticulture Environment
Animal Care
Vocational ENhancement
The HEAVEN Academy was launched in 2002 with DfES funding
to provide an opportunity for 14-16
year olds to enhance their GCSE studies by gaining vocational
qualifications and experience in
horticulture, animal care and environmental studies. We
have ten partner schools in the project
whose pupils benefit from our exceptional practical facilities
and specialist staff.
