The
Course
The course runs for one year from January to December and students
attend for one day each week. A wide range of topics and lectures
are supported with slides, studio sessions, workshops, park walks
and visits. Assignments are supported through tutorial time in the
studio.
The
course aims to equip people with the knowledge and practical skills
required to start out as practising garden designers. The emphasis
is always on professionalism and a high standard of presentation
is expected for all work.
As
only structural planting is covered on this course students need
to take the OCN Garden Design: Plants and Planting course either
before or after completing the OCN Garden Design: Principles and
Practice course. Successful completion of both courses will lead
to the award of the Capel Manor Diploma in Garden Design.
