Animal Care and Animal Management

 

Capel Manor College is Greater London’s specialist land-based college offering full and part-time courses in Animal Care.  Our new centre in South London and extended provision in West London offer excellent opportunities to join a dynamic curriculum team meeting training needs in this specialism across London.

Lecturer in Animal Care – based in West London (Gunnersbury Park and Brent Lodge Park)

Lecturer in Animal Care – based in South London (Crystal Palace Park)

Lecturers’ Salary Scale: £17,455 - £31,567 depending on qualification and experience plus London Weighting £1,784
Two full time posts with responsibility for course delivery at identified centres with flexibility to travel to other sites as required.  A minimum qualification of a HND, degree or similar in a science or animal related discipline is essential. Appropriate experience of practical animal management in an educational context will also be essential for these teaching and tutorial roles. 

Applicants will have or be working towards a teaching qualification - full support will be given to achieve full accreditation.  Ideally candidates will have relevant assessor awards. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.

Resource Technician/Practical Instructor -Animal Care – Full Time
based in West London (Gunnersbury Park and Brent Lodge Park)

Salary Scale 4: £16,945 - £19,079 plus London Weighting £1,656.40

The successful candidate will undertake day-to-day routine care of the college’s wide range of animal stock,  maintain practical facilities and support the teaching of animal care.  Level 3 qualification or higher in an animal care discipline is essential.  Applicants will have a strong commitment to the care and welfare of the college’s animals.
