Gift-wrap wedding dresses! Whatever next at Capel Manor College?

As part of their one-year course in Modern Retail Floristry, Capel Manor students were challenged with designing and producing a window display for a Florists window. Lets just say you won’t believe the results!

Using the various different forms of gift-wrap materials available to a commercial florist these students constructed the most amazing dresses that you (or your partner) would consider walking down the aisle in! Then to complete the ‘new look’ and complement their design they added a bouquet, body adornment, headdress and floor standing display out of fresh materials, all to be produced within a specified budget.

So if you struggle with wrapping your presents you’ll be astounded by the skill of these students who only started the course in September 2005. Take a look at some of the images below and visit Capel Manor in person to see how our two groups of part-time students tackle this project which is due for completion on 15th March and 4th April and will displayed in the main reception foyer for one week.

The Modern Retail Floristry course is a one-year intensive course which if successful the student gains a City & Guilds National Certificate in Floristry Level 2 and City & Guilds Balloon Display 7822/36 qualification.
