The Cordwainers Challenge
Sponsored by the Worshipful Company of Cordwainers, Students from Capel Manor College and the London College of Fashion team up to design and produce a fashion belt in no more than 2 hours.
The Harness Challenge
Sponsored by the Worshipful Company of Saddlers, saddlery trainees from all over the country team up to produce a harness component to a set specification in no more than 2 hours.
The Hand Stitching Challenge
Sponsored by the Worshipful Company of Loriners. One student/trainee saddler was teamed up with a Livery Company member to teach them in one hour how to double stitch leather - whereupon they were on their own for an hour. The winning team was the one who produced the longest and neatest line of stitches.
Live Heavy Horse Drawing Competition
Sponsored by the Worshipful Company of Cordwainers. Entrants had one hour to draw one of the college's heavy horses (Wallace) from life!
