Balloon Artistry Courses at Capel Manor College, Enfield
Capel Manor’s Balloon Display programmes have a national and international reputation for exceptional design skill and cutting edge creativity. In July 2005, the school was awarded CoVE status - and became a Centre of Vocational Excellence for Floristry and Business Enterprise. We are the only provider in England to achieve such recognition.The school was also re-awarded a Grade 1 by Ofsted inspectors in October 2003. The School’s achievements rest on high quality training, enabling students to develop skills and build businesses both in the UK and abroad.
Our learning programmes are intensive (two or three days per week) or part-time, day, evening or short courses. We welcome school-leavers and mature students returning to learn or changing careers.
We also have Floristry, Flower Arranging and Balloon Display Courses at our landbased study centres in the heart of London - Gunnersbury Park, and Castle Green.
Balloon Display – Beginners/Intermediate
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to Balloon Artistry.
Qualifications Gained
Success in this programme leads to the nationally recognised City & Guilds 7722-17 and 7822-36 Balloon Display.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements. However, you are required to have a genuine interest in becoming a Balloon Artist.
Modern Retail Floristry
This intensive course consists of two qualifications: the National Certificate in Floristry Level 2 and City and Guilds 7822 in Balloon Display
Progression
Successful completion of this course, together with good command of the English language equivalent to a Level 2 qualification enables students to progress to the Advanced National Certificate in Floristry Level 3.
Entry Requirements
You will be required to visit the College for a personal interview with a course tutor to identify a study programme which will help towards your intended career. All candidates are assessed on an individual basis. A minimum of 4 D grade GCSE including English and Maths.
Advanced National Certificate in Floristry Level 3
This advanced certificate gives students the opportunity to continue the development of their practical and theoretical skills in Floristry.
Progression
Successful completion of this course will enable students to find work within the industry.
Entry Requirements
National Certificate in Floristry Level 2 or an equivalent Floristry qualification and a good command of English equivalent to a Level 2 qualification.
