Capel Manor College at Barking College, Rush Green
Capel Manor College’s east London centre has moved from the Castle Green Centre in Dagenham to dedicated accommodation at Barking College’s main campus in Rush Green.
For 2009-2010, provision is exclusively Floristry and Balloon Display. See the course listings on the School of Floristry pages starting on page 32 for further details. In future years we hope to extend our provision into other curriculum areas, working alongside and with Barking College. Students benefit from extensive facilities including a library, IT suite, café and sports centre. The Rush Green campus on Dagenham Road is on the 174 bus route from Romford’s railway station.
By rail – via Romford
From Liverpool Street Station, Stratford, Maryland, Forest Gate, Manor Park. Ilford, Seven Kings, Goodmayes, Chadwell Heath to Romford. Brentwood or Southend to Romford, then a 174 (towards Dagenham) bus to the college.
By taxi
There is a black cab rank opposite Romford station and a mini cab office to the right of the station exit.
By bus
174 stops directly outside the college. Numbers 5,103,128,175 and 499 stop near the Texaco garage at the junction of Dagenham Road and Rush Green Road: the college campus is a short walk.
By tube
District Line to Dagenham East as then 103 bus or Dagenham Heathway and the 174 or 175 bus (towards Romford). Central line to Stratford then by rail to Romford and a 174 bus (towards Dagenham).
