17 year old Daisy didn’t enjoy school very much – she had been bullied in the past.
As a child she used to buy bunches of flowers from markets and rearrange them at home with her sisters. Having visited Capel Manor with her grandfather she found out about the floristry course and decided to come here instead of doing her A levels.
“I really enjoy it at Capel Manor – there is a mix of ages and people aren’t childish so I feel much more comfortable. My confidence has grown and I’m less shy. I feel like a bud and now I have opened. I want to have my own shop so I can become an all-round florist working with different styles.”
Daisy is coming back next year to do the Level 3 Diploma in Floristry.
