Some health problems and bullying meant that 18 year old Graham Fuller failed most of his GCSE exams, but instead of retakes he decided to pursue his interest in gardening at Capel Manor with a level 1 Diploma in Landbased Studies.
“I love learning new things and making outdoor spaces look nice, I’m a very practical person. At Capel Manor I get on with everyone, I am naturally shy but it’s a friendly place and they support you in everyway like getting to know other people as well helping me with my learning.”
Out of term Graham volunteers at the College helping to look after the gardens. He is returning to do his Level 2 Diploma in Horticulture in September and hopes to have his own gardening business one day.
