Gucci model Tomas Gataveckas left school at 16 to do a course in graphic design but felt unchallenged by the work. Having grown up in Lithuania where his grandmother kept livestock, he decided to join Capel Manor’s Level 1 Animal Care course.

“I really love Capel Manor and would like to return at least as a volunteer next year; long-term I’d like to open a sanctuary for wild animals. I have had a lot of support here, modelling is very tough and you have to be very strong mentally, but the counselling I received here really helped and made me much more confident. I am able to speak my mind now.”

Tomas will now either return to Capel Manor to pursue his passion or sign a full-time modelling contract.
